What a weekend! We took over a hotel in Albany for two incredible days of learning, networking, and sweating together. Dr. Tom McCoy delivered a powerful presentation on the research validating our methodology, clearly demonstrating how CrossFit stands apart from every other fitness brand out there. Jenn Pishko shared insights on transforming your affiliate into a community-based healthcare hub. The science is clear: CrossFit remains the most effective approach to preventative health.

RESEARCH CORNER: CREATINE
We know there is a lot of information out there, and at some point your members might look to you for answers or guidance. For people to own their health, we want them to be informed and empowered decision makers on that journey. We’ve unpacked a recent 2025 study on creatine and cognitive function so you can easily share the key insights in your affiliate.
Article Highlights:
A pilot study by the University of Kansas Medical Center investigated creatine supplementation in adults with Alzheimer’s disease, revealing early positive indicators that creatine could bolster brain health and cognitive function, even in older individuals experiencing cognitive decline. This 8-week study included 20 older adults diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Each participant took 20 grams of creatine daily which is about four times the amount an athlete will typically use. Researchers wanted to know if this dosage was safe and manageable, if it would boost creatine levels in the brain, and if it would have any measurable effects on cognition.
GRAND ROUNDS: DRS. SHVETA AND DINESH RAJU
We caught up with the dynamic duo who led our first Grand Rounds last year. Their accomplishments are staggering: creating an affiliate INSIDE a primary care setting, engaging staff to practice what they preach, boosting employee morale and productivity, and delivering nutrition and fitness education through the CrossFit methodology directly to patients within their office walls.

This year was absolutely epic. The location, workouts, athletes, vibes—it was all special. Massive thanks to everyone who supported the Games. Our community continues to amaze us.

What: 4 Ruck Partner Events// Partners must be in person
When: Leaderboard and workout details open 9/1 and all scores must be submitted by 10/31
Cost: $50 per person ($100 for the pair)
Why: This is an opportunity for connection and shared effort. It's also a chance to offer a fun and accessible 'competitive' effort in the affiliate to get folks going during post-summer blues. 3 of these workouts can be done within a 1-hour class of an affiliate. 1 offers the opportunity for a community event or Saturday effort that is longer.
